CANCELLED - Apple Day - Sunday 4th October 10am - 2.30pm
We have sadly decided to cancel due to the difficulties in offering an apple juicing service to many, whilst maintaining social distancing. We hope to again be able to offer this next year. If you have lots of apples to juice then please contact Sassie of Eve Apple Press directly on 07540 118131
Our cider making workshop on the 24th October will still going ahead as this is a small group with plenty of space to distance.
A day celebrating homegrown apples. Bring along your apples and take home your own juice
Sassie from Eve Apple Press will with us all day with her apple crushing, pressing, bottling and pasteurising equipment.
Juicing will start at 10am until around 2.30pm
Simply bring along approx 10kg of your own apples (about a full 'bag for life' amount of apples) to make around 5 bottles of juice.
Fresh juice can be taken away, but if you wish to store the juice for up to a year then pasteurisation is available, this just takes a little time so you can leave your juice with us and we can arrange a collection time/date.
If you prefer cider to juice then why not book on our cider making course on Sat October 24th?
Bottles will be provided, just bring your apples. Please note depending on quantities of apples available for the juicing process and demand on the day, some of the juice may be a mix of local apples. If you have large quantities of apples or would like your own juicing session then please contact us to make arrangements.
There is no cost for the day, all can enjoy seeing this process. The cost of juicing is simply £2.00 for each bottle of juice made and taken home (includes juicing process and bottle. If pasteurisation is not needed then the cost is just £2.50 per bottle).
Love the idea of local juice but don't have your own apple tree?...... We will have plenty of lovely local juice available, so just come along, see how it's done and buy this fantastic local product.
