Course Programme:
Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm

What To Expect:

Join Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s Nikki Gammans to hear about the fascinating world of bees.

There are over 270 bee species in the UK and all are pollinators. Learn about their biology, ecology, decline and how we can help them.

This course will cover the identification of our most common bee species that you will find in your garden or any outdoor space.  With a mix of theory and practical tips for identification, we will have a look at finding and identifying the bees around our farm.

Fortunately, there is much that can be done to benefit bumblebees.  It is entirely possible for individuals to help bumblebees without owning much land! Perhaps the simplest thing to do is to plant some bee-friendly plants in your garden, to flower between March and September.

An informal and enjoyable day on our country smallholding learning all about the amazing Bumblebees, their biology, decline, conservation, and what you can do to help them in your garden and beyond.

This course also includes a year's membership to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust

Refreshments will be provided,

Parking is available at the entrance to our farm and our training room is just a short walk down our track.
