Swarm Control Half Day Morning - Advanced Beekeeping



A Morning Course

If you book both this course and our afternoon course on queen rearing, you will receive a free lunch courtesy of Mantel Farm.

A focus on why swarming happens, how best to minimise / prevent it, & simple methods to control it once started.


Course Programme:
Half day: 9.30am - 4.30pm

Light refreshments will be provided, including tea, coffee, water, and a 'honey-themed' cake.

Parking is available at the entrance to our farm and our training room is just short walk down our track.

Please arrive at 9.15am for a prompt 9.30am start.



Practical help with managing one of beekeeping's most testing but natural annual events.

Aimed at those wishing to conduct their beekeeping in a responsible and sustainable manner.

What To Bring:

Just bring yourself, confirmation of your booking, a notebook and any questions you may have.

If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.

Mike has been a Beekeeper since 1972. He is the ex-chairman and current President of the Hasings & Rother Beekeeping Association. (H&R BKA). He represents the division for H&R BKA at Sussex Beekeeping Association and is an examiner for the BBKA Basic and General examinations.
