Nature & appearance:
Although wild by nature these birds can be tamed, given time and patients, they can eventually be hand fed and recognise you when you

are around them.

The males tail feathers are stunning, reaching up to 1.3 metres and fanning out 180 degrees around his back.

They are much larger than chickens weighing in at around 13 pounds!

These birds lay up to 30 in spring and summertime

Egg size & colour:
Peafowl eggs have a diameter of approx. 55 mm and length of 70 mm
